"Better jungle wins” situation has accelerated

I mean, I know that if you are better you are supposed to win, but for this new season the junglers role has become so crucial that he needs to be a total athlete to participate correctly. The past several 30 games a lot of them had a relatively new jungler losing the game for either my side or the enemy's. The results are totally devastating. a losing jungler with 2 to 3 level difference is now the norm. Hell, he can be the same level as their ENCHANTER support. Bad pathing for exp, loss of control of objectives leading to a drake soul or even worse elder (AKA, Exodia), lack of intuition for skirmishes the possibility to create a chain nuke reaction are limitless in this patch. I know some competitive junglers are getting accustomed to the rewards that the system has, flexing on the newbies with their new weapons, but I think the floor is so high now. The past seasons jungle popularity doesn't help either. These create very tense situations within the team and is very prone to create not a flame...but a nuke war. The responsibilities and risks are just too great in my eyes.

*Edit My last jungle game was bizarre. I regularly do not jungle and got autofilled. (I was a jungle main 2 years ago) I used basic jungling experience such as warding and ganks with a out-dated jungle rumble and the enemy just seemed to...self-destruct? Granted I made nice equalizers, but I was 3 levels on a Xin Zhao before I even knew it. This is just plain strange.

I play jungle otp Voli since years. Currently Dia 4 (peaked D2 Promos in S9).

And you are right. To be successful in jungle this meta you are not allowed to do the tiniest missplay or wrong decision. If you do one gank that doesn't get your team a kill or at least burn some enemy summs you are already in a very bad spot compared to enemy jungler, since there is no catch up Exp anymore. You need perfect pathing and WAY more macro knowledge than your laners. Losing a Drake to enemy is worse then ever. Wasting time not farming and you are 4 lvls behind your top/mid.

I am not sure if laners know how good their jungler needs to be in this game, to be in the same elo like them. It's like laners playing Tic-Tac-Toe while their junglers playing Chess.

But still jungle is the most unthankful role in the game that are constantly blamed and flamed by the other players for their own mistakes. As Jungler you have to deal with the fact that you are responsible for EVERY bad thing that happens in the game. It's ALL your fault. And if you do good no one noticing it. The only thing that happens is that the enemy team flame their jungler. You ever heared the phrase "Jungle difference" from the winning team? No. It's just used by the losing team to blame their jungler.

To stay sane in the jungle you need a very thick skin.

No wonder no one wants to play this role. Riot should care about this problem.

League of Lane Priority.

If mid and bot can't get prio then good luck with Drakes.

Let's hope the upcoming buffs to Rift Herald help.

I took a herald yesterday and placed it down for my top laner... It barely gave us 2 plates.

That's sad.

NO ONE QUES FOR JUNGLE...

so what you are getting is people that are being forced to jungle due to autofill features...

these people have no idea how to path.. clear or anything in the jungle..then they get forced into the role, AND IT GETS WORSE.. because now they are getting reported when they never wanted to jungle to begin with...

Until they fix the jungle.. it will only get worse

I see games like that every once in a while. The enemy jungler goes an early game champion, and tries to get a lead, but fails all their ganks, maybe even dying or going 1 for 1, and neglects farm. They become behind without gaining anything for their team. The game ends up being a 4v5 and you win without really doing anything.

its an interesting dynamic, its way harder to 1v9 as a jungler but its way easier to make the enemy jungler useless, not sure if the role became more or less impactful but hey at least I can play lanes without getting camped now

You're correct in stating this. I may not be the highest ranked player in the world, but I do know that jungle sucks to play, because of the pressure to do well because god knows if you fuck up in the slightest way(i.e a failed gank, miss a camps spawn timer, get a dragon stolen, etc) you're fucked. It really sucks to main the role with the most power, a lot of people complain about the lack of power their role gets but when you have too much the game becomes kinda scary.

"Better early jungle champion" wins a lot of the time now.

This meta is ALL about solo lanes. NERF solo lanes and the game will be balanced. If the solo laners get ANY kills they run train on the entire match...

That's not better jungle wins mate, it's just broken jungle.

If you stopped with the nonsense maybe riot would understand but no, you whined about jungle impact and this is the result.

I'm still maining jungle, or atleast I was, now Im just sticking to ARAM and here is why. I played about 60-70 games on SR out of those games 2-3 were close/fun contests and 1 was a comeback, all of the rest were a snowball one way or the other. I have a positive winrate in jungle so more of them were a snowball for my team and I. However, even when I was winning it no longer felt rewarding.

I just want to make sure Riot can hear me, **WINNING NO LONGER FEELS REWARDING! **

So yeah, now I'm done with SR atm.
