Should You Always Take A Turret If You Have The Chance?
Is keeping a turret up ever a better idea than destroying it? Some people say you'll get better farm if you leave it up, but does that actually equal more gold gain?

Depend on the situation, most of the time, yeah, take the tower asap if you can though.
Think of it like this -
The Nexus is the endgoal and the turrets are obstacles leading to that endgoal. Every lane has a certain amount of health in structures, destroying a tower removes 1/3 of that health, meaning you also remove a good chunk of the entire enemy team's structure health. This is almost always better than, say, getting a cloud drake first.
