ABC's to Victory on the Rift
How often do games start off great for you, matching or destroying your lane in creep score but then after laning phase end up going downhill because of the enemy team grouping up and picking off your team 1 by 1 and getting objectives causing a 1 sided fight mid to late-game? I propose we set up guidelines or steps as to how to counter this. I'll share my idea of proper phasing through a game and you can suggest changes or an entirely new list of how to win phases.
-
Laning phase: Either win poke/kill trades and keep steady income with CS/income items or keep your gank points warded and pink warded as to not feed and stay on your side of the map. For jungle keep entrance points warded while your on top or bottom farming.
-
Map control and sieging/objectives: Defend turrets and know where enemy champions are by keeping vision of surrounding areas. If enemy has grouped in a lane know when to split push and take down turrets accordingly. If most enemy champs are missing, ward dragon/herald/baron.
-
Picking your fights: If your team is behind on turrets/objectives/cs and overall gold, don't teamfight without vision/turrets nearby. No matter how great the enemy team plays/coordinates themselves someone will always make a mistake whether blind checking or just coming in alone to ward. This is when proper ward placement comes into play as you'll know when your team can pick off an opponent. Also, a lot of times people put so much emphasis on getting baron that they don't notice a pushed lane that has an easily available inhibitor to siege or even nexus. I don't know how many times a team is extremely behind but gets a lucky ace and rushes baron instead of taking complete advantage of the 50 second respawn timers and winning the game. Vision wins lategame.
My favorite way of winning especially in a losing game is to split push while team defends a nearly locked lane. So any suggestions or blueprints for winning are appreciated give your thoughts and share your battlefield tricks to counter mid-late game.
