I just spectated this high elo match and I would like an explanation

Why did the 5/7 support Zyra have the most champ damage out of anyone in the entire match?

Why did Zed go 17/1 and pop everything when he's trash in high elo?

Why did Vayne do a mere 20% of her champ damage as true damage when her W is so OP?

Was Irelia gutted? If so, why is she still picked?

Is this a clown fiesta?

Are people okay with this sort of thing?

What happened to the game I started playing eight years ago?

THE SUPPORT DID THE MOST DAMAGE. IN THE ENTIRE GAME.

Bro zyra is poke support who is full AP or a little HP. Her duty is to engage teamfight with root and her R, thats why she does very much damage on the graphs. She is very underrated, because in low elo everybody just shits on you, because you get 0 protection.

But, for her to do the most damage in the entire game? Out of all ten people, it's reasonable that the support did the most damage, while also handling warding, zone control, and CC, and not worrying about CS?

She does a ton of AOE damage and her plants apply liandrys with every hit, meaning constant free %HP burn damage with one item. Its not really a stretch.

k lemme explain smth about frostfang that I thought was a known fact in low elo. during laning phase, even with a Janna u can easily out damage everyone if all they're doing is csing and some trading, while all you're doing is poking the fk out of 2 enemies, just to get your gold item finished asap. Sometimes u can outdmg ur adc overall... sad, so sad. Enter Zyra. I would outdmg my team even with 3 tanky items, cus ugh bronze. Zyra out damages v often in aram, too, but i still can't carry with her sometimes cus im low elo doh. She just scales well, and yes, constantly dishes out tons of dmg. Even if it's a lot of work over time, with zoning, and ccing, and warding (she only bought 1 pink that game though! but when ur ahead, it don tmatter)

Getting kills at the right time is what's important, tho. If u cant get something out of it, or get super fed, 'a lot of dmg' will remain just that.

idk about 8 years ago, but carry supports like brand and lux have been a thing for 4+ years now. i never agreed with it. i just got with the program. Xer can pull this shit, too, btw.

Low elo? Bronze? As I said in the title, this was a high elo match, with one of the top flex 5v5 players in NA.

When we complained about supports being ward slaves back in the day, dealing the most damage wasn't the goal we had in mind.

my opening statement was: heres a fact about frostfang that supposedly is known in low elo, so it should definitely be known in high elo...
