What about the items from TT? Moonflair Edition
EDIT: Fixed a few spelling errors and other things.
This is a (planned) series of discussions to talk about the main 3 items that are exclusive to Twisted Treeline, and suggest ideas on how they could be implemented into SR.
DISCLAIMER: I will first admit that I am NOT a TT player; I only played it back when my two brothers also played this game, as we had a perfect 3-man team for it. But ever since they stopped playing LOL, (which a few years have passed since then) I stopped playing TT. So I'm obviously not going to be as informed or knowledgeable about the 3 items we are mainly going to discuss in this thread series.
TT Players, with your much more expansive knowledge of these 3 items, I would wholeheartedly welcome your input on this thread.
Let's also please keep in mind that these are nothing but conceptual suggestions, and the numbers and/or effects are exactly that, concepts. I know these changes could have grounds for abuse by AP Assassins, Mages and whatnot as well.
We will start with Moonflair Spellblade.

#####~~ Moonflair Spellblade ~~
As it currently exists (Based on info I get from the LOL Wiki), Moonflair Spellblade offers the following:
50 AP
50 Armor
50 MR
35% Tenacity, the same as
.
Based on this, it seems that Moonflair is an AP Tank/Fighter item. So then, I would think that it would just make sense to keep it as an AP Tank/Fighter item, though not with the exact same stats. (If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me, TT players)
Suggestion 1
35 AP 10% Cooldown Reduction 300 Health Build Path changed to
and
+ 1300 Gold = 3000 Gold total
As you can see, this is a very, VERY basic change to Moonflair, essentially it turning into the AP copy of Black Cleaver, minus the Armor (Or in this case, MR) stacking reduction, the Rage MS Boost passive, 100 less health and 10% of the Cooldown reduction. I reduced the HP, AP and CDR amounts in comparison to
since
and
also already give health and AP, and certain other AP items already give CDR, and players can also choose to take the 1-10% CDR Stat Shard, as well as the Transcendence Rune to get 10% CDR for free, so I thought reducing it to 10% would be okay.
If it were up to me, I wouldn't ACTUALLY implement this as the changes for Moonflair; this is just something to whet our appetites and hopefully get the creative juices flowing.
Suggestion 2
60 AP 7% Movement Speed 400 Health Build Path Changed to
,
,
+ 815 Gold = 2500 Gold total
This is a more experimental change, bringing 3 items into the build, akin to
along with a similar Gold cost, but a lesser AP amount. I realize that since AP is not gained with leveling, like AD is, I need to be a bit more generous, but I'm also trying to stay relatively realistic with my suggestions.
To make up for the lack of the Rage-style MS Boost, the 5% boost from the
is increased to 7%, similar to
.
Since there are already items like
which gives the increased damage and DoT effect, and
gives 40% MR Penetration, I figured that Moonflair here doesn't need a carbon copy of the Armor Shred effect from
. Though the Health amount is changed to be more in line with Black Cleaver, since it gives 400. Because of that, I thought about making the Giant's Belt
the health component for this iteration, but I figured the increase would be so minuscule (A whopping 20 from the standard Giant's Belt) so I went with A Ruby Crystal
instead.
Suggestion 3
80 AP 500 Health NEW Unique- Moonburn: Landing damaging abilities builds "Moonburn Charges" for a maximum of 100, dependent on the number of enemies struck. 10 for champions but reduced to 5 beyond the first, 5 for Minions and Monsters, reduced to 3 beyond the first. At max stacks, the next ability used generates a "Lunar Explosion" at the target area, dealing 200 damage , 2 per stack. Build Path Changed to
,
,
+ 215 Gold = 2900 Gold total
This is the completely random, "Out of left field" Suggestion, even with an entirely new Unique effect, inspired by the
Momentum effect, except with the change that only damaging abilities charge it.
I've changed the AP amount to be more in line with that of
and
, sort of a "halfway point" between the two, since Liandry's gives 75 and Rylai's gives 90.
But to try and solidify it as a "AP Fighter" style item, it also gives more health than those two.
So that's the ideas I came up with for Moonflair Spellblade. Feel free to alter these or suggest your own ideas.
The next post will deal with Lord Van Damm's Pillager. I hope to post it tomorrow, based on what ideas I may or may not come up with for it. If this one and that future one does well, I'll make one for Wooglet's Witchcap.
GL and HF in your games.
