Is the Rune system designed specifically to make you play more often and possibly spend real cash? Yes.

Does that make them "evil"? No. It makes them a business.

Is it unrealistic to expect you to obtain all Runes? Yes.

Does anybody expect you to, or is even remotely required? No.

If you can't stand the unlock system for Runes/Masteries/Champs, then go play Dota instead of making a scene and showing everyone how sad a person you must be.

Edit: Also, you're a disgusting person to try and associate your needy little tantrum with "child abuse".

Fiorst win is not removed... however: until 20-30 runes are not required. there are many different game modes that allows you to negate that. The game is free and no one forces you to unlock everything, 2 rune pages are useful for most of the needs aniway and only 10% of the runes represent an actual intrest for a player. About champions even only playing 10 champions requires a bit of degree of skill ( playing good, not as a master ). let' s say 10% of lol rooster.

So, let' s do some math, since you like it that much

0 IP for a page, 12000 ( if this is true) for filling it with rank 3 runes ( remember the 1 and 2 runes that are absurdly cheap?) possible to cs without runes, if you don' t get rk1 runes that suffice first win still present cannot abuse of disconnections let' s take only 10% of said game hours because of champion and rune needs: we have 4800 hours plus first win. This posing your math is right, because i have far less played games, 20 champions with 10 as 6300 IP, 8 rune pages ( 2 taken full, others discounted) and relative runes, without spending RP for that.

And this awarded while you are playing the game, thus actually enjoying it, with a great % of your expenses in stuff that barely affects your skills.

Also you are sick for talking child abuse this way. Go back to work on a coal mine, and tell me again.

I wish it cost like $200 to unlock all the champs, instead of like $500 to $700 or whatever it costs now. I THINK Riot practices monopoly pricing (not because they're a monopoly but because their players are heavily invested) and therefore they price high, sell a lower volume but make more profit.

I'm no economist though so I could be off on that but it seems to make sense.

A basic set of runes is basic, and you really need more than two pages of runes if you want to compete in ranked where you want to win as much as possible, but ... I don't know.

Put it this way, you can stockpile IP and buy runes when they go on 30% sale (effectively increasing your ip/hr by 40%). You can wait for rune pages sale and buy rune pages with cash when they're 50% off (effectively making rune pages cost ZERO IP... remember IP is the bottleneck, because you can wash dishes for cash if you need it and like $50 will get you all your rune pages).

The price of unlocking all champs is way too high though. :(

Ive never understood the commotion about runes and runepages. They make up a very small % of your total power. You could play the game with one runepage in reality. Every champ needs health, CDR and armor. Only at very high levels of play does it make a huge difference.

I agree runes and masteries are arbitrary they do not cause you to gain up to 800 percent more gold and 300 percent more expereince in any given time frame like the op clearly did not state.

Last hittimg under tower and jungling does not require tier 3 marks, seals or quints this thread is implorical at best i bet op watches mlg parody videos... adolescents these days...
