At least level 1 mastery with a champ for ranked

It's all in the title, people in low elo play are constantly playing champs for the first time in ranked for fun. I get that we have to embrace a level of creativity but I think it's a little ridiculous to try a champ in ranked. Does anyone else feel this way?

This gets brought up all the time and every single time I respond with the same argument. This removes the possibility for trades for a lot of people. I only play about 10 champions ever but I sometimes like to trade champions if it better suits the pick order for counters. Requiring me to play every champion just so I can trade in ranked is stupid.

I hate it when others do it, but I do it sometimes, but im good, everyone else is bad.

If it's ranked and it's legit the first time playing a champ or even the 5th on a more difficult champ like riven or jhin, then it's pretty troll. If they do fine, whatever, if they don't - they have no valid argument against a report. Ranked is not another normals game like some people treat it; it's to measure how well you stack up vs your peers. Surrender @ 15 and/or run it down lane feeding and refusing to ward because you're down a bit in lane should not be tolerated; play the game, do your best, and give your TEAM a chance to carry you and help you be relevant again. They might not be able to help RIGHT NOW, but eventually they can - if you don't int. Now, if they have a second account and played a champ a million times on that account and/or a different season and are just playing him "for the first time" this year, that's a different story. It's somewhat more acceptable - however going 1/10/0 still isn't going to be excused by the fact they "haven't played this champ in forever". But playing a "new champ" alone isn't enough for me to report someone - they have to make bad decisions too and most likely feed.

Wait, so one game? That seems... really arbitrary.

Champion mastery 1 means nothing anyway.

And you would need to grind 20 champs to lvl1 and can't trade any champs that you don't have on lvl1.

It's low elo for a reason tho. A lot of holes :o

Honestly no. Some people only play ranked and it's not really fair to them to enforce a rule like that. And besides you can learn alot more about a champion by losing one game against them the many games playing as them.
