So, during laning phase I think I'm fine, but, afterwards, I can never make the calls on my own, only respond to the calls of my allies. I have very little understanding of what I SHOULD be doing, rather than what I am be doing, does anyone have any tips, or help?

it probably is the wrong section but then at the same time tis the right one due to the answer
the reason being because it depends on what champs you play and what you WANT to be doing and what you FEEL you should be doing.

laning phase never truly has to end.
laning phase only ends when one team decides to make a move on their opponent because they feel they have an advantage or they're trying to recover from a disadvantage.
once you're starting to either take or lose turrets thats when you know it's time to start looking for ways to win other than just farming minions.
every role has their own ways to make plays after laning phase. you will have to be more specific if you want better advice.
