Why do you get gold from last hitting minions?

Why have this concept? It's a bit stupid that in a game where you have to fight in a lane against other people that hitting mininos matters more than hitting the enemy laner? This aspect of the game is the shittiest and most boring thing about it. I don't think last hitting minions should be a factor in determining a better player, it's just cancer.

If you don't want to do it, then hit the enemy instead, draw minion aggro, lose gold, lose lane.

You can also go play Heroes of the Storm, because they don't have gold or items or last hitting requirements at all.

OP just lost a rank game, and judging from the cs-difference between him & the enemy ADC, I can see why OP would create a thread like this thinking it's a "free-argument-so-change-my-defeat-to-victory" mod.

Lol wut a sissy tryhard.

Gold = Items = More Powerful.

If you can't handle the fact that you have to actually use some skill to outplay your opponent, their are plenty of easier games for you to play. As someone else has already mentioned. Blizzard makes games for simpletons.

CSing is a legacy from the RTS origins of MOBA's, in much the same way that three lanes with the bases in the corner of the map is. DOTA chose to keep an additional aspect of CSing, which is to kill your own teams units to prevent the enemy from getting gold, while League decided that was overkill.

The alternatives to CSing? A game with no items (Hero's of the Storm) or a system where both teams get gold at the same rate (Ascension featured game mode). Both of those, in my option, make the game more boring.

What would you prefer as a more interesting mechanic?
