How do you get better at this game?

I've been struggling to rank up the entire season, ended Gold 5 last season and have been stuck at Silver 1 and 2 for about 8 months. The closest I've gotten to Gold this season was earlier, 5 win streak over the last few days into promos then lost 6/7 games today and the 1 win was because my enemy laner was afk. I try carry roles in top or adc but fail to impact the game mid and late game. I try going for objectives but there's always a fight my team is doing that they lose or I group with them and mid game is 20 minutes of either my team losing fights or both teams standing around hoping someone gets caught out. I've tried supporting roles bot lane or tank champions top and jungle to try and be a front line for my team but I end up never being able to keep the carries alive and can't manage to kill anyone afterwards. I just don't know how to improve or even what I'm doing wrong most of the time. I feel like I should have improved over last year since I play this game literally every day but I've just gotten to a point where I don't know how to get any better.

Id say it more about learning to close out the game when you can, if you can take a tower, take it, but don't let it become the only thing on your mind, as tunnel vision for objectives tends to be as equally bad, resulting in you dying a lot.

it also sounds like you're playing to many roles, try to specialize in just one ( at most two) that fit you the most.

The simple answer is you don't. Ranked solo queue from Bronze V to Gold V, is 60% luck of the draw in teams, 20% who has the most trolls/afks and 10% of games you can actually solo carry. Without any sort of luck you'll never rise. Hell even challenger smurfs have posted saying how toxic, unappealing and a huge lack of skill in advancing at Bronze V to Gold V even is.
