Key Frags (3 frags in 3 games)

So, I've seen a lot of people complaining about the drop rate of key frags. So far, every time 2 or more people (including me) get an S- or higher in a game (I'm soloing, not with a group) I've gotten a key fragment. This is happened 3 times in a row for me when the following conditions are met.

  1. My team wins
  2. I get an S- (Or higher)
  3. Someone else on my team gets an S- (or higher)

Anyone else have the same thing happen? I've seen a lot of "I played 60 games and didnt get a frag", maybe the scoring system is what causes the keys to drop rather than completely random? As far as I can remember, I've never gotten a key fragment unless 2 or more people on my squad got an S. I will admit though, I don't play that much, so it might just be casual luck or something.

When asked about specifics on key fragment drop rates, Wingfield explained they key drop rates are not linear and the rates reset each month: "Hey all, Just want to help clarify some things about key drop rates: Key drop rates are NOT linear and only wins have a chance of dropping a key. So you will earn key fragments much faster in your earlier wins than you will in your later wins. Or said another way, each incremental key fragment drop is harder than the last (on average... there is variance). This resets on a monthly basis for each player individually. The goal is to create a nice ebb and flow. Grade does NOT impact key drop chance. **Premades DO increase drop chance. ** Hope that helps clarify " (source)

Wow, you won and people on your team get an S.... and you want to apply the therefore someone gets a key fragment.....

When riot has said that the letter grades has nothing to do with key drops.

Please stop
