@Riot: Why the overwhelming mage hate?

Seriously, when was the last time you were nice to mages? And I don't mean one or two, I mean in general (like with** itemization**). I see nothing but nerfs to them via itemization and skills.
"Better nerf Irelia" has turned into "Better nerf Sona", for crying out loud!

With the DFG removal (another nerf to practically all mages), you say you are buffing Ahri (and maybe Veigar) as compensation. What about the rest of the mages who have DFG in their "essential items" (or anywhere in their recommended item listings)? There's been too many instances where you quietly slide past other champs who need to be addressed during changes, and that's something that needs to stop.

When will mages get some love again? :(

I am waiting for people to love melee's, other than some assassins and Lee who have tons of love.

Nobody seems to want the rest do anything other than probably be an extra hp bar on the battlefield, even then some complain about that.

But agree that mages got the short end of the stick today, tbh just idk change or nerf the item, they shouldn't need to remove it completely. Mages already have nearly no active items to play around with anyways, just keep the dang thing aye.

DFG isn't a mage item, it promotes more of an assassin playstyle with it's burst. While Riot pointed out Ahri and Veigar, they made it clear that they will keep an eye on all DFG users to see what sort of buffs are needed.
