In-Game Recording
I had a thought a few days ago about a function Riot should think about introducing. I think they need to implement a game recording feature to the game. It would only need to record your last 1-3 matches and auto delete after that. I think it could serve several functions. The first would be so the player could go back and watch the match for their own benefit. This could help them identify mistakes they made, and hopefully try to improve themselves as a player (wishful thinking I know). It would also help teams doing ranked 5's so they could go back and discuss the past game and fix errors as well. It is one thing to talk about the errors from memory, but completely different to show the events as they happened and discuss as it's playing out.
Another benefit could be to actually aid in punishing negative players. Instead of the tribunal where you read in game only text and people have to decide if a player is intentionally feeding based off chat and KDA, you could upload your match and people could see what happened as it actually happened. It would reduce a lot of b.s. reports and actually get the people who deserve bans to get them. I also think this function would need to record pre and post game chat as part of the video, as a lot of it comes from there. Someone who doesn't get the lane they want so they troll quietly in game is hard to punish because it isn't obvious in in-game chat, but if it were all recorded the players reviewing the case could see it first hand, as well as have the chat records.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Any areas where in game recording would also help out?
