Why are most of the main cooldown reduction items AD?

Most of the main cooldown reduction items don't really have lots of ap, or if they do it's like stinger or something. What's the deal? I just want like a pure ap item with 15-20% CDR. like, 100 ap and 20% CDR. It would be awesome.

It's simple OP. AD champions rely on their skills and spells to do a lot of their damage. Their AAs aren't bursty and flashy enough for #LCSbigplays, therefore it makes perfect sense for their items to have more CDR on them. AP champions on the other hand mostly rely on their AAs to deal damage because they don't have enough mana regen to do anything else.

Hmmm.

10% - AD Death's Danceitem 3812 Youmuu's Ghostbladeitem 3142 Dervish Bladeitem 3137 Trinity Forceitem 3078 Enchantment: Warrioritem 1400

20%+ - AD Essence Reaveritem 3508 Black Cleaveritem 3071

10% - AP Lich Baneitem 3100 Banner of Commanditem 3060 Zeke's Harbringeritem 3050 Will of the Ancientsitem 3152 Frost Queen's Claimitem 3092

20% - AP Nashor's Toothitem 3115 Athene's Unholy Grailitem 3174 Morellonomiconitem 3165

So I don't know where you got "most" from. I even left out other CD + AP items that are more "supporty" (Ardent Censer and Eye of the Watchers).

The only AD CDR item I can think of is Black cleaver. There are probably more, but none reach 20 like BC.

IBG and FH are not AD items (because they provide no AD. I don't care about spell blade, it isn't giving you more AD) they are armor items.
