Zhonya's and the Fountain

ok so i was in an ARAM match we had the potential to come back in and Fiddle was waiting near our fountain for us to respawn and used his ult and Zhonya's Hourglass. why is it that it's the ONLY thing that completely negates the fountain? Guardians Angel doesn't bring you back when you die in the enemy Fountain. i personally think that the Fountain should kill you even with the Zhonya's Active. idk maybe i'm just upset at the fact that what could have been a sure thing was just thrown out the window because of that shit

Because Zhonyas makes you INVULNERABLE and UNTARGETABLE. A Vlad pooling, Fizz jumping, or Elise rappeling would all also dodge the obelisk.

Anyway, you just seem really salty that an enemy used their ult + zhonyas to help his team by diving you.

The fountain laser ignores "invulnerability" (like Kayle or Trynd's ults), but if you're "untargetable" you can't be hit by it.

I'd be okay with having it insta-kill anyone who goes untargetable inside it's range. My guess is this would require a lot of hacky special-case coding in their game engine for a fairly rare occurrence.

this could probably be submitted as a gameplay bug. put a post there for some more attention, because that should probably kill him. the fountain is supposed to be a safe place for respawning without instadeath.
