9lp for a win?

Hey guys I am currently Gold V and i have been playing ranked, upon entering gold V i had a pretty good win rate but when i got to my G4 promos i started losing a lot and my win rate dropped. my win rate in gold has been above 50% all the time but since i was losing a lot i knew my mmr would drop a bit. i recently finished a game after winning quite a few games to try and recover my mmr. i was gaining around 17-20 per win however after i finished my latest game the server crashed and kicked me from my client (around 10:49pm, 20/07/16) and ranked ques went down. upon checking my lp i saw that i only received 9 lp. is this a bug or due to the server crashing. i am on a 3 game win spree so it shouldn't be my mmr taking lp gain down. i also checked to see if the enemy team had loss prevented but they didn't. everyone on their team had a higher ranking than ours as well so i do not think that it has something to do with vsing a team with lower mmr. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
