looks like melee champs are at a severe disadvantage in that mode. thats disappointing.

the most optimal way to deal with those bots seems to be to stay away from them and slowly poke them down from long distance, since they dont even leave lane to heal or use health potions when theyre low on health.

basically every ranged champ with poke and waveclear will be good in that mode, while melee champs get shafted.

i think this needs just a little more work.

Yeah it seems like Nexus Siege (which I really didn't enjoy) where it's all about waveclear. Part of the fun with old doom bots was actually pushing out in the map and trying to teamfight, this seems like you'll just be playing like your inhibitors are down (but doom bots are pushing rather than super minions).

agreed. I have no idea why riot keeps 'revamping' older game modes that didnt NEED revamping in the first place. Dominion just needed to be added to rotating queue.

Weve been asking for doom bots since it left, and they give us something with the same name but not the same game...

Whats next, ARAM being reworked so its only half its size and gives you a pool of 10 champions?

Same thing happened with 'all for one', they redid it as 'mirror mode' and put it on the rift, making it painful in some situations and even more dull as a skill only matchup in a hallway. I don't mind the boss so much, it's the sped-up gameplay that bugs me; how quick you can reach full build & max level, along with a quiet time limit before the game ends (either killing the boss or from said boss instakilling your base).

I disagree. The old version was pretty straightforward and easy, this thing, however, is much more unfair and ridiculous. And that makes it great*[slayer-jinx-wink]*

After playing it a few times, it feels easier than the original; thanks to double gold gain and no respawn timer, most people reach max build by 15 minutes. The first to be full build just wave clears while the others farm up top & bottom lane when the bots group mid; they still won't dive without minions, which is exploitable. And the evil teemo is still subject to crowd control, so while he'll 3 shot everything, it's fairly easy to stunlock him if you have an aoe composition. The only challenge here is playing a melee champion without ranged attacks. And like nexus siege, it has a forced time-imit (though more subtle); either the evil teemo storms your base and destroys it, or your team kills him. You can't take any of the enemy towers nor can you invade their jungle. The lack of scaling up, and the redesigned sped up gameplay style has made it boring.

Alright, I'm seeing several issues:

1: the bots somehow forgot how to dodge skillshots?

2: Why do players get a baron recall and bonuses when they get a certain amount of team kills?

Part of the fun of it was that it was near impossible to fight them head on, and that they knew how to avoid skill shots... these bots kind of just walk right into them.

I'm not liking this so far...

Nah even now in bots Intermediate they can actually dodge skill shots. You actually have to aim to get them and not just click in a straight line. This seems like another game mode Tryndamere will dominate in. Crit + Life steal will completely wreck this game mode.

BTW Brofresco already tried Tryndamere, good pick is with the % of max health passive and other campions of that sort

These bots don't need to dodge skillshots. They'll get progressively stronger even without any kills and when they die they will respawn instantly. Also, you can't physically beat them, only survive until Teemo arrives, while they will get help from literally every monster on the map except Baron. This is the epiphany of unfairness, and that's why we love it. And good luck dodging their skillshots.
