Seems Riot is out of creative ideas for jungle gameplay. Lets help them out with some crowd sourcing :) Leave ideas below

Jungle Gameplay issues that RIOT is looking to tackle

Pathing: A big thing with JG this season was figuring out the correct path for each champ to max out buffs and utility. You either figured it out or struggled. The thing is once you figured out the path that worked for your toon it was the same path every time and it feels stale. One possible solution is to make traveling the same paths more meangingful. A path thrrough the woods is worn out over time so maybe fill the jungle paths with tall grass that goes away the more you walk on it in those paths. This makes invades mroe interesting and sets the Jungler up as the path blazer. If the Jungler doesn't roam it makes ganks more likely but if they stick to one area more than the other you will see it in the terrain. You might even be able to set it up so you can use it to track movements. Do that and then having a weird plant in the middle of your path makes a bit more sense. Right now not so much.

Camp Interaction: Camps are pretty one sided. They hit you and thats pretty much it.... Monsters should be as unique in their interaction with the chamnps as champs are with each other. Want to ramp things up a bit then make blue buff steal your mana as it hits you, Red can burn you and the ground it moves over, Gromp can poision you like a teemo shroom, Wolves should hunt you as soon as you enter their side of the jg forcing you to kill them first or play around that interaction by staying out. The raptors should move around alot making it harder to AOE them. Also they should be able to do magic damage not just straight AD. I mean if you live in a world that has magic scorpions (skarner) why can't your camps be worthy of doing magic based damge as well?

Buffs: Scattered throughout the scenery are gliphs and images in the rocks. As the jungler to use the buff system it may be a good interaction to be able to interact with these glyphs and pictures to gain buffs. Think of it as something left behind from ancient wars that can only be discovered and passed on. My thought here is that you choose which buff you will get throughout the game and once choosen thats it you are locked in, you can only get that buff and you can only pass that particular buff on. So you need to choose if you support your AP laner or do you support your AD laner or just choose what makes you stronger and worry about that. This also plays to the team interactions. The buffs will likely stay in the game as it evolves but it doesn't mean we can't have more meaningful interactions with them and the choices we make while playing.

Viable champs: Not every champ should be a viable choice for the jungle, but with more specialized masteries you can widen the range of viable champs that will hav emore impact on game play. This can be accomplished through masteries by making an actual tier for junglers. RIght now the masteries choices are just "meh" or optimized and pretty much done. Adding more jungle specific masteries or maybe an actual tier could open up more possibilites for playstyle variation.

Team interactions: The jungle should always have an impact on the map so the ability to influence lanes should reflect that maybe have your jungler unlock runes that will empower the towers making their shots stronger for a set amount of time or shots. Perhaps you can smite a stone statue to bring it ot life and have it rampage down lane a lane at a pivotal time helping your bot lane or mid lane flex for a a roam or increase pressure forcing a roam fromt he enemy team. The idea here is to make the interactions of the jungler and the lanes more visable so that you feel like you have a hand in winning a lane and that you are part of the team in a meangingfull way even before team fights start.

These ideas are just ideas feel free to tear them up and add your own. Please remember to leave constructive ideas not just hate over plants. If you don't like one thing provide two things that you feel are better. :) always provide a solution not just a list of problems. Thanks guys :)
