@Riot I would love to see an event where there is a contest and the winner gets to create a champion with the help of the design team. I think it would be an amazing experience and awesome publicity allowing us the players to see the work involved at each stage and meet some of the people involved and get to know them from the winners interactions. It would also be amazing to design a champion and work with the design team to make it happen and watch the process from A to Z.
side note: Many of us have ideas for champions that we feel Riot never sees because there are so many of us and 2/3rds of the ideas get down voted by trolls for zero reason.

I completely agree with you my friend. I myself have just recently dived into the champion creating process, and would be absolutely blown away if I had a chance to get one of my creations made real!
I do understand, however, that Riot is a multimillion multinational company and probably wouldn't have the time, resources, or general care to do so themselves. Not to call Riot lazy, but simply busy.
If Riot made this a reality, that would definitely bring in the money, so to speak.
