I don't want shorter arams, I want action-packed arams
I remember reading the Howling Abyss section in patch 7.8. Riot claimed that aram players are looking for shorter Sumoner's Rift games. I'm not sure where they got this information from, maybe it's true for Vietnam but not for me. The reason I play aram is so I can skip the laning phase dancing around each other and get straight in to the 5v5 teamfight action. Right now though, aram games are too snowbally, and noone is tanky enough to engage. What ends up happening is a tug of war until one of us mispositions and dies. A free kill be worth kill/assist gold + exp as usual + 5 Triumph procs + a bunch of DH souls. There will be no real fighting in the mid game either, because the game is already decided early game thanks to the snowbally runes. And of course there is no late game, because super minions are busted.
So I get no fighting in the early game, some fights in the mid game but game is effectively over. But I do get shorter games that I didn't ask for in the first place. Consdiering how BS snowbally the game mode is, then it ending early is probably a good thing.
How to make aram better:
- Revert 7.8 minion changes
- disable Triumph and Dark Harvest from aram
- Give melee champions a minion execute passive 3 charges , 30 sec cooldown on Guardian's Horn.
