Pyke is my second main off from brand and i play him assassin roam style full damage. I dont think this play style will be viable after the next patch changes and it makes me wonder why a assassin support was even designed just to indirectly gutted.

Nerfs effecting pyke are : Electrocute is losing quite some damage for a shorter cool down Sudden impact is losing some lethality duskblade nerf yommus nerf

were is this "assassin" going to fit now because clearly he cannot be played the same playstyle because of all these nerfs.

hes getting no buffs to supplement him with all these indirect nerfs. i think the champion design is kinda poor considering everyone was complaining about assassins killing everything, so why make a support that can 1 shot people and has a execute? Then to have him completely steamrolled by item nerfs and rune nerfs.

How does this happen considering he came out what 2/3 patches ago do you honestly not take into account the impact you will have on other champions when trying to destroy a assains meta riot or is it to just keep the community for complaining for too long?

also i tried tank pyke in the past with poor results were poor due to the fact you cannot build health because it converts to ad making it so you do less dmg than the assassin build but can still be punished the same way.. why is pyke not receiving any buffs at all? i just dont't understand how a new champion gets dumpster like this so fast when he isn't the problem at all.

No, assasins are cancer right now, pyke included (whos broken in high elo now).

If they get compensation buffs whats the fucking point of nerfing the items and runes?

damage needs to go down, deal with it.

Honestly, pyke isn't supposed to be a solo assassin like most other assassins anyway. He's supposed to work with a teammate who does damage while he cc's and then execute. He's a team fight assassin where most other assassins are designed to go for picks. The roam play style will stick work just fine as long as your teammates aren't monkeys who won't follow up and go in with you.

Who even goes electrocute on pyke? His most used keystone by far is aftershock, which isn't getting touched.

Idk avout the others but electrocute was so busted, an assasin mid game couls easily get 400-500 free damage

Ummm are you really a “Pyke main”?? Feels like you don’t know much about your champion, here, I’ll tell you how to play, you build black cleaver first item, you might ask yourself “WHY BC IF HE CANT BUILD HP”, simple, 20% cdr, and around 60 AD, plus you shred 28% of their armor after your full combo, pyke is not a solo assasin, that’s why he can’t be played top or mid, his role is still a support, your job is to make it easier to kill the enemy, you can barely ever one shot anyone, by building black cleaver, you have more cdr, and armor shred, for your team mates to actually do damage, if you check any of your after game damage chart, your barely ever be top 3, even tho your building full ad, a full tank Warwick or maokai will have more dmg dealt, anyways I’m spending too much time on this, your build is “Black cleaver into GA or Maw, you can decide which first, boots of choice depends on their comp, maybe yomuss if your ahead, if not build defensively, go for a gargoyle stoneplate, or you can go for death dance, your mission is to annoy the enemy, stay alive, and execute. Duskblade is not a good item on him generally speaking, way to costly, burst not that high in the early game, so no use building it first item, it’s only good mid game. These “nerfs” hurt zed and talon way more than pyke, that’s why they’re getting buffs, your precious main you know so much about didn’t get a buff cuz he doesn’t need one.

For anyone who hasn't notices this is either a joke thread or the poster has been living under a rock for two years. When he was asked for source for his small assassin buffs he made reference to the 6.22 patch notes from 2 years ago.

Is this for real or are you joking? I mean those patch notes you put are from 2 years ago and honestly those electrocute nerfs shouldn't affect pyke and even if you do the damage may have gone down but the cooldown also shot down.

you take aftershock on pyke. also you can just build tank pyke which is just as viable if not more. build black cleaver, rightgeous glory, etc. pyke will still be good.

Being a Pyke main, I find he is shockingly diverse for being an assassin. He can build tank and still do his job. He can build more support and do his job. He can build assassin and do his job. So a couple nerfs to RUNES really won't (or shouldn't) hit him that hard. Pyke's kit is extremely versitile, so instead of focusing on being a solo assassin try out being a playmaker. Try a tank page and items and be an initiating diver (and with correct positioning) that can constantly disrupt the backline while simultaneously holding off the front line. He's wicked fun to experiment on. Tiny nerfs to him indirectly will not destroy who he is or his performance in game. :)
