Why is there no armor item for fighting AD Casters? LeeSin Talon Pantheon Varus Pyke etc. They recently got an absurd amount of QOL upgrades item 3147 Slow on a DAMAGE item item 3814 Spell shield on a DAMAGE item, pretty much a repeat of item 3102 item 3181 Free all-in passive and heals that work with said passive item 3179 Vision denial on a DAMAGE item item 3142 Gapcloser/Escape/Movespeed boost on a DAMAGE item item 3026 Resurrection and armor on a DAMAGE item (Granted it's not much damage as compared to the rest) item 3035 item 3036 item 3033 % Armor Pen plus [If upgraded to mortal] Grievous wounds item 3071 Not necessarily a caster item, but AD plus bonus health, armor shred, and 20% CDR means that casters build it What do tanks get to counter? item 3110 Slows auto attacks if in range item 3075 Reduces damage from auto attacks item 3742 Gives movespeed, just not in combat. Cannot be used for shorter escapes, nor shorter gap closes item 3193 Provides bonus dual-resistance if surrounded, gives bonus health at cost of reduction of damage Closest you have to real candidates are item 3143 Reduces critical strikes (Crits happen on auto attacks, very rarely on spells) plus an AOE slow if they're in range. Auto modifier is useless in this regard, movespeed slow is the ticket item 3025 Slows if you hit them, in range of slow item 3800 AOE movespeed slow plus ok gapcloser. Lets you get in their face and stop them from escaping

Why is there no armor item that reduces physical spell damage? Between most casters having a passive that lets them sustain, escape, or otherwise hurt tanks more, there's no benefit to playing a tank against a caster. If they're supposed to be the counter, why do they counter everything else too? Save for nonstop CC (Ex. Lulu Nautilus Blitzcrank Braum Soraka to an extent) they don't have much they're bad at, save for the things that counter literally any champion that isn't an ulting Alistar, a dashing Ornn, or other forms of unstoppable

Why not just gut your armor item changes, and make a way to counter physical damage spells? Or is this pandering to the KR/SEA/CN servers again by making it so tanks can be killed quickly?

I wish theyd make new items in general.. since everybody u basically build the exact same build minus 1 or so items.

TL;DR You are downplaying some of the tank items as well as skipping past the fact that armor reduces the damage of AD abilities AND auto attacks, as well as directly reduce turret damage (and maybe objectives but I don't know if they do magic as well).

Long-winded Answer item 3075 also applies grevious wounds and deals magic damage when hit item 3742 Applies bonus damage on next auto after fully charged

Just wanted to clarify those significant things missed, not to mention the insanely high stats from item 3110.

As for your "armor doesn't reduce damage on lethality items", that's not true. Yes, lethality negates flat armor. Of course, that means they negate FLAT ARMOR. It is not percentage, so that means once you get past the lethality number, it is no longer negating that armor. That's why it's good at what it's supposed to do; Kill Squishies and get dunked by tanks. Say what you want about tanks being killed instantly, but a tank gets burst to half HP by a fed AD assassin while a squishy gets completely bursted from 1 1/2 abilities.

Though I would love some love towards tank stuff, I like that it's been viewed with trepidation because of bruisers being soooo dominant instead of tanks themselves doing tanky stuff.

What I want them to do is go down the line of item 3193 , item 3109, and item 3800 (though less because it can be abused by bruisers, though other bruiser items are broke, so they don't).
