According to Riot you must ignore minions and let them take your towers and farm jungle because 4 gold per minion is what you deserve for trying to win with bad teammates.

On a side not: You know that things go south when the company makes decisions that affect 100 Chinesse boosters using funneling and hundreds of thousadns legit players...

First off, getting less gold from time to time doesn't mean you have to ignore creeps. And second, gold funneling was a game breaking strat. It originated in China, yes, but eventually more and more people started doing it, and if done properly it really had no counter play. That said, I would much rather deal with the monster hunter mechanic than to see the return of gold funneling.
