What's this umm, "bar" under my name on my profile?

On my profile in the client, on the main panel which shows things like "Lv. 32", "Honor 5", 3 highest MR champions and "Bronze 5" ( D': ), under my name "mosaickle" there's this bronze looking thing that looks like some kind of really stretched out crest.

It's Bronze color so I'm assuming it has something to do with the fact that I'm in my promos (well, at least I have been over half a year ago), what exactly is it?

It's a bar showing your rank from last season, considering the new level flairs take over the old post-season standing.

its just another banner that displays your rank (or previous rank) not sure why they added that... your profile icon already had a border that matched your rank.
