Now that you have individual scores for people

When are you going to get rid of the horrid ELO system and start basing peoples ranks off their personal score? We already have team builder for ranked otw ( soon is the only answer we are getting im guessing ) and now we have personal report cards based on the role you play and how you do in the game.

While I agree in theory, it shouldn't happen yet. Riot simply doesn't have advanced enough algorithms to individually score people, not even over time. There are 100s of situations where you can choose to help your team or choose to focus on not dying to help your own score. That right there is broken already. Your score should ALWAYS reflect your team importance.

A tank who sacrifices himself to have his team end the game, still get's a lesser score right now because of his -1 death. As long as Riot thinks this is ok, a new system would be just a terrible as the current one.

On the other hand you could completely dominate and yet your team refuses to listen, feeds, and surrenders at 20. How does this reflect your skill against that opponent? Shouldn't your score be compared to your counterpart on the other team and that put into the calculation as well? Is it already?

Lots of focus on the score and such but if you have a high score aren't you helping your team anyway? Pushing down turrets. Ganking other lanes. Helping kill dragon. Getting good CS while your counterpart is denied. All of these things help your team win so why shouldn't you get a good score for doing those things?

Who says it doesn't count killparticipation (for dragons towers barons; inhibs), number of wards placed, damage taken/dealt/healing done according to your role, accuracy/percentage of skillshots landed, deathtime, distance walked on the map, creepscore, apm,...

But I forgot you are League insider and thus know everythign about the system...

so are you saying that even if you lose but have a good k/d/a you should earn LP?

I'd be fine with grade impacting LP gains and losses, but only slightly. S+ on a loss on a long game should probably mean you tried to hold out but your team crumbled so you couldn't. Maybe lose 5 less LP. If you get a D on a win, you probably got carried and don't deserve as much LP.

The problem is that this could cause people to focus too much on score and not enough on winning.

this has been suggested and rebuffed hundreds of times, people will screw over their team in the name of their own score, the current system is the worst they could have, except every other system,
