Update Schedule: A few concerns
I recently looked at the update schedule, which at the moment reads "Marksmen Update, Poppy Update, Shen Update, Taric Update". While I am thrilled to see Taric update on the schedule (Though I've been waiting so long for it I almost find it hard to believe at this point, and some pessimistic part of me assumes it will be delayed even further), I have some concerns, mainly about the Shen Update.
Now, I have a habit of playing champions in odd places one wouldn't really expect to see them. For example, I was a huge fan of Gangplank support, and was actually surprisingly successful with it for quite a while. That is until Gangplank's update arrived. Don't get me wrong, Gangplank needed an update badly, and I think he's better off now than he was before, but it did remove Supportplank entirely. And so, you will understand my concerns when I say that I have champion mastery 4 on Shen, almost at 5, and I've never played him in top lane... I play him almost entirely as a jungler, and occasionally as a support. Suffice to say, the idea of a Shen update worries me, because I fear that after his update he won't be able to jungle anymore.
I'm usually a huge fan of champion updates, but they do come with the occasional problem that they sometimes narrow a champion's focus. Imagine for example, an Ezreal update that made him a significantly better marksman, but essentially rendered him incapable of building ap, thus removing his flexibility. That's the sort of concern I have, and it's far scarier for me, as one of the few people who play Shen jungle, since I know that unlike the Ezreal example I gave above, there would not be nearly the public outcry if jungle Shen were to vanish, which makes it seem all the more plausible.
Any reassurance you could offer me would be lovely Riot, I don't want to lose my number one jungler, even if it does make him a better champion overall.
