@Riot: So will we be seeing the next Champ Roadmap soon?

With the Irelia rework now announced (Not necessarily released), will we be seeing the next Champ Roadmap within the next few weeks?

Just curious to see who the next champs are in the sights of the Rework team's fantastic art-guns.

(Loved the Yorick Warwick reworks and am very interested in the upcoming Irelia one too, just FYI)

Yup. Saw that in Meddler's newest Gameplay Thoughts. Mid to Late April. Thanks for letting me know anyway!

Riot said they plan to do more reworks than new champions this year which is good, but I am wondering when they plan to do that. From my understanding after Irelia is supposed to be a new champion then Aatrox, but honestly I would rather two or three updates before another champion is added. It's not that I don't like new champions, rather that the pool for tier 1 desperate to be worked on champions is only getting smaller since newer champions are better designed and can go longer without needing a VGU. Example, it would have to be probably 6 years before Urgot needs a full VGU. They have say 16 champions on the list, they could realistically bang out maybe 7 or 8 a year if they don't do a new champ at all since no major concept work needs to be done, just refining identities and redoing mechanics/kits. And when that pool of VGU champs is gone we can move forward.

Well, I'm certainly not opposed to the reworks, but I'd also like to see what that new champion will be. I'm hoping it's a new Fighter. (Diver or Juggernaut) We've had a Mage with Zoe , now an ADC with Kaisa , our most recent tank was Ornn , and the most recent new Fighter was Camille was 6.24 back in December of 2016. So I think we're due a new Fighter. Another thing I should mention is that Camille is a Diver, so the next Fighter, I'm hoping, will be a Juggernaut.

7.15, when the Urgot VGU released for example, was our most recent Juggernaut. I'd like to see a new one of those sometime this year, if possible. Not that reworks of existing champs INTO the Juggernaut fold (Such as the aforementioned Urgot ) are going to get any objections from me, or ones that are already Juggernauts that need it could get one (Like Udyr or DrMundo , and the most famous of the ones on that list, Mordekaiser ). It's just that the prospect of a possibly new Juggernaut excites me, as they are my favorite class. Perhaps from the regions of Targon or Piltover, since they are the ones lacking a Juggernaut in their pools, and we just got Kai'Sa from the Void, we probably won't be seeing a new Champ from there. Though, Zoe was from Targon too, huh? Oh well. We'll just have to wait and see when mid to late April rolls around, when Meddler said they're aiming for that next Champ Roadmap.

Trundle is a juggernaut right? I like the Freljord best and always wanna get more of them. Realized the other week that I had been wanting to play more Lissandra and noticed that if I learn Liss and make her my go to mage, I will have made Ashe, Sej, and Liss my three go to pocket picks.

Yeah, he, Udyr and Volibear make up the Freljord's Juggernaut roster.

That's good. I used to play Liss, but I have found that Mid is one of my WORST roles.

I'd just like to see a Juggernaut for Targon or Piltover, as like I said above, they currently lack Juggernauts in their champion rosters.

I am trying to use Liss as more of a tanky CC heavy battle mage top lane, taking Grasp with Gathering Storm for the easy procs since she's ranged and just turning into this beef cake. Like a build might contain both Glacial Shroud items, Archangels, and then MR boots with two MR/HP items to round it out. That way the mana boost AP from Archangels and health from Grasp makes up for the double armor mana items. It's worked out in the past, I just need to learn top more.

Also I want a juggernaut that uses a zone control theme, something like having spikes that they can fire to make a lightening wall that slows enemies down. Sort of like the boss that traps you in a fight by blocking the exit of the arena, making them a Nasus like raid boss, using zone control and one Sion like telegraphed damage spell. But I don't get paid for bad ideas so aye.
