Lissandra has been the victim of massive item changes

Lissandra saw a great burst of competitive play and healthy win rates after her q cooldown was lowered to 3 seconds at max rank and with the addition of self-healing on her ultimate. She had great access to flash and the old teleport through Ionian boots and she could itemize for cdr and instant spikes through Morello's or for a scaling and tankier engage build through Rod of Ages. Her old end game build would deal insane amounts of damage through her engage and she could often win fights by herself if played correctly. When the changes to mage items came along with the Ionian nerfs and teleport nerfs she honestly took a big hit. Even though items like Abyssal and Zhonyas were cheaper and offered CDR, they offered less damage, with Abyssal now seeing further nerfs, and merely shifted the way she built CDR rather than granting her access to it. With significant changes to essentially all of her core items, Lissandra became incredibly reliant on the overly tuned Hextech Protobelt. It gave her easy access to engaging without teleport which was much needed after the repeated Ionian boots and Teleport nerfs and subsequented all of her lost damage through the nerfs to her other core items. This overtuned item allowed Lissandra to remain relevant post mage update and even in competitive, but Riot decided to repeat a mistake they've made many, many times over. Before nerfing protobelt they significantly cut Lissandra's base health growth from 84 to 74 per level, amounting to 170 health lost at level 18. They then finally decided to nerf the real problem, which was protobelt, and now where are we? A world where Lissandra loses lane to almost every match up, hardly even wants to use TP anymore and has lost an insane amount of full build damage she once had. Lissandra had a good year of being a very powerful champion but she does not deserve to remain so gutted in this way. She is a very unique champion and I think she deserves to maintain a healthy spot in the mid lane champion pool so I truly hope Riot looks into some of the problems Lissandra is currently facing.
