Iron in a gold elo game

There was a iron 2 fizz in my gold 3/4 game. And I feel bad for the person they went 9/23 which sucks and I don't want to report for inting cause they are playing against people that are three divisions above them. I understand the new system where you get ranked after a couple games. If you give them a rank after a couple games then make them play in that rank. Even though they are ranked does it still go through the normal promo where you play in multiple divisions until you find your spot?

Most of the ranks are desynced from the MMR they said. It will fix as they get into the season reset.

So just gonna comment as I'm still new to the game, I got placed in Iron 4, but I'm at iron 3 60lp atm. SO when the season starts will I be placed in Iron again or?
