Riot Should Give us Information about Our Opponents Prior to Ban Phase

In matchmade games by contrast you’re adapting to a new group and don’t have any initial information about the team you’ll be facing.
This is the key comment to me from Riot's post in the News section about moving pro games to ten bans.
It brought to mind something I have had in mind for awhile.
I don't think Riot should let us see the Summoner names of our opponents before the game begins, but I do think they should provide us with some information.
This would possibly introduce some complications and problems, but could possibly have some benefits. The manner in which the information is delivered, as well as the content, would influence this.
I imagine the information would need to be incredibly simply and concise, in order to allow teams to process the information and make use of it during the time frame of champ select. I think the queue that would benefit the most from this type of change would be Flex Queue. This is the queue that is most likely to have organized groups that are able to come up with a consensus on strategy for dealing with the added decision-making involved.
What do y'all think of this concept, and if Riot were to do something like this, what do you think it should be like? If you don't like it, what are your concerns? Do you think it would improve competition? Do you think the cost to one-trick-pony champions would be a good thing or bad thing? Could you see this in all ranked games?
