Let's Discuss Grievous Wounds

First off, for those who are not yet aware, Grievous Wounds currently reduces all healing effects by 50%. After the preseason starts, GW will be nerfed to be a 40% reduction for self-healing only. With that out of the way, let's continue.

Specifically, let's discuss how GW is being nerfed solely because of Executioner's Calling. With GW affecting self-healing only, this is going to hurt everyone and everything else that had GW beforehand. Who/What actually uses GW? These:

These 4 subjects are getting indirect nerfs with absolutely no compensation. Actually, Morello's is getting its price increased by 250g. Add in the fact that the effect of only applying GW when the target is 40% or below in HP is still there .. ya, it's really stupid.

So why, exactly, are these subjects being punished? Katarina was already hit hard with nerfs before. Varus ... the last thing he needs is nerfs. Everyone who'd probably use Morello's is just going to use Athene's now, since Morello's passive is gonna be fking useless. And Ignite ... it's going to see even less play now, especially in bot when the healer support won't have their healing reduced.

While I can't imagine how Riot could have thought this through before without making any sort of compensation, it doesn't mean this can't be fixed. Change Executioner's passive so that it is its own unique form of GW. Example? Unique Passive: Executioner's Mark.
That way, everything else with Grievous Wounds won't be negatively changed when they don't need to be.
