Right. Today, it was a special day.

I usually play ranked queueing as supp/jungler, and... unbelievably, the matchmaker decided that i have had enough games as Janna/Zyra/full ap Sona/Nami/Soraka (ashe supp) etc. things to sadden enemy lives. With NOPE to their damage.. before or after they deal it. Yk.

And today was the day, i got to play as a jungler.

  Ivern jungler, so i kept my traits of ^. Smiting red buffs, knock-ups for the Yasuo main on the team, dashes for the Vayne to right click.. bushing under own tower so yeah 5 hp live xdd.. and shields btw. Stuff unusual in low gold. Well save for the Defeat screen.

Here's what i mean: out of these, only 16 games were played as an off role, namely adc.

  Sooo, yes. I can't tell the things are much different (rather, at all) in the premade queue.

I sometimes wonder what are the reasons for that. (no not really) idk. Could it be...

  • That, the teammates never mind them when they need a buff, or to farm a wave to finish their current item asap, like redemp?
  • Because, everyone is free to troll their game and flame in any way they want, and you still should heal/assist them.. otherwise which you would be a troll?
  • Or... maybe, because they are expected to pick a character the adc prefers? and the game actually enforces it? Especially if you are a later pick in champion select...
  • Another guess - because you can't really say "looool that kill streak, well played!", and if you get one, the team is mostly "STOP KS !!! Rep tyvm"? Like, neither Faker, nor Sneaky, Doublelift, Tyler & qt (TY), etc are in that role.. :thinking: (and don't lie yourself with Lily!)
  • The LCS broadcasters?
  • Rep supp roaming and where is my supp!!! Remember, if you are not helping me (Draven), you are losing my game! Understand it at last, this is not a team game, but stay here, with me at this lane you read that?!!?!!! ...
  • And...

I thought recently top lane was almost as undesirable to the community as support if not more so?

And these points you brought up make me think you're of the mindset that support mains are 'helpless victims that can do no wrong and are at the mercy of the toxic ADC players who have no idea how to play the game and must constantly be coddled.'

People can be toxic, yes. Do supports frequently bear the brunt of the flame when there's a toxic ADC on the team? yeah, it happens.

Junglers also get flamed frequently by just about every laner. Top laners and mid laners are flamed when the correlating enemy lane shows up mid-game with 10 kills and is able to 1v9, even if they weren't the ones that let them get that ahead. Every role gets it's shit. Being flamed isn't exclusive to being a support player.

Doesn't mean it's justified, but I see many supports cry about it like it's something that only happens to them.

There are plenty of notably famous support players; Zeyzal, MadLife, BunnyFuFuu, Aphromoo--- all pretty good examples IMO.

And no offense but if your ADC is flaming you for roaming it may be:

A. you are choosing to roam at bad times B. your ADC doesn't understand how important/impactful it can be for some supports to roam C. your ADC doesn't understand how to play when the support isn't in lane

This post feels less like a genuine question as to why support is less popular than other roles and more an excuse to complain and victimize yourself. You seem like you enjoy support but have a few hangups about how you are treated when you play this role. Probably just get into the habit of /muteall when you enter a game if it bothers you that much. Just report douchebags and move on.

I have played 122 games this season as Support/Fill. I have had only one fill game, as jungle.

i hate jungle the most because champions i want to play aren't as viable in the jungle as the meta champs, i don't really like support either for similar reasons
