The Solution for AFKs in ranked play

This is pretty simple.

  1. If a player AFKs in ranked play, his or her team has their loss prevented, and if they win, their team still earns LP. The player that went AFK suffers a loss of LP regardless of outcome. This would stop players from bailing on a losing game in order to prevent the loss, and the remaining players would still be encouraged to play their ass off, as they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

  2. If someone who is duo+ queued afks, the AFK suffers the loss of LP, and their queue-mates will also suffer an LP loss if they lose. This prevents teams of people from abusing the loss prevented system. They can prevent the loss of LP though by continuing to play to win the game. This encourages to keep playing hard after their q-mate bails so they don't suffer the loss.

What am I missing here? Why is AFKs in ranked play still an issue?

A premade group bullying/harassing/flaming someone not in their premade to the point they want to quit.

Okay so if my duo partner's power goes out not only does he lose LP but I lose LP. Personally I think we should just have a better punishment system. This will still be abused even if the person who DCs loses LP because their team will pressure them into doing it.

Feeders ruin games just as much as AFKs. Thats why this won't happen.
