Duoing provisionals with a bronze 2 friend?

A friend and I have been duoing for my unranked account provisionals and we are currently 6-1. My friend is bronze 2 and we have been matched up against anywhere from s2-s5 players. I am curious as to what I would have to finish my provisionals to get ranked s3-s5. Will duoing with him for the rest of my matches highly effect the outcome of my placement? pls help!

I will say you probably already tanked yourself into bronze or you will be low Silver, at least if you keep winning.

Anyways, depending on if you played last season, your ranking from last season gets taken into account more heavily then it did in previous seasons. This is more so that if you tank your provisionals, you won't get dumped too far down. I looked you up and it looks like this is your first season, at least with that account, so I'm going to assume it is the same as before. For your provisionals your first few matchs are the most important ones. Winning those is what moves you up or down the fastest. After those first few matches, the rest of them are more fine tuning, matching you against more "specific" opponents closer to where the system will end up placing you.

6-1 is pretty good, but since you duoed with a B2, I don't know how that might have skewed your rating. Since you are running into S2-5 players, you probably have a good chance of landing somewhere in silver. Just keep playing your matches out.

ya, i have no official word, but i read from other people, and been told by friends who play that you basically screwed yourself into a lower starting bracket, more so this season since people were dropping into bronze from gold, having done well in provisional....

i am told....having the friend be brz2 had you going up against similar players for a lot of those games, so you are not as likely to face higher level players, say gold... so beating brnz payers puts you in bronze, beating the silver players puts you in silver, but losing to them puts you somewhere a lil lower, all depending on some unknown formulas they use...

hope any of that help, i would be prepared for a bronze start.... nothing wrong with that though
