im a support main, i do well enough.... i just played a boss teemo support game... i warded, i poked, i took damage for my adc, i set up plays and got my adc fed as well as protecting him....

i put out 36 wards.... more than the entire enemy team....

29 min game

he ended up 15/2/4 i was 1/3/12

his damage 17.4k my damage which was 2nd highest 15.5k

an example play:

when there were 4 going bot i warned him because i had warded upper rvr.... i slowed them down with my well placed shrooms... when they came down on us i blinded the highest auto damage dealers while my adc was able to barely get away while getting kill and kill again, i took the death and placed a shroom as i died to keep on making them pay for the gank...

he got a S+ i got an A-

It's an S- score or higher for anyone in your premade. If you're playing solo you are the only member of your premade, and so it's only your score taken into account. You can, however, get chests from friends who get S ranks.

I highly suggest playing with friends instead of playing solo.

soooo there's a reward system but supports can't use it while solo queuing

I've gotten a couple S- games since this came out, playing Bard, queueing solo.

Play better.

I was just replying to the guy who said to play with friends instead of solo to get more S ranks, which would be pretty flawed design.

I get plenty of S- and S, get real. However, I'd like to point out that the only games where I do get S+ as support are games where I play Sona and I get an awkward amount of random kills (6+), which does not seem right... sometimes I have 0 kills, 2 deaths or less, and assists on nearly every kills made by the team, and I still can't get past S. Riot said that the grades would take your role into account, but it really seems like they do not, otherwise you would not need to score an awkwardly high amount of kills as the support to get S+.

It does not feel right that it's near impossible to get the highest possible rating by playing a role the way it's meant to be played (little to no kill for support). Don't you think it's flawed that the only way you get a perfect rating as support is by getting too many kills? Assists should weight as much as kills in the equation, at least for non-carry roles.

Well. They claim that it compares you to other players using the same champion in the same role. The most popular build for Sona lately is with Lich Bane, and you are being compared to those people. So getting kills may be more important on Sona than on other supports. Can't really say without seeing the algorithm they use.

Then again, thinking back... I know I have achieved an S+, but I can't remember what champion it was on or if I've gotten more than one.

Which brings up another flaw of the grading system: there is no record of it.
