Riot, please restore Team Builder. Its removal has ruined this game for me.
I main support, so I'm not exactly sad about having to go that role, but when I always primary/secondary pick jungle/support or jungle/fill, because I want to learn new champs outside of support... I still get stuck support 9/10 times. So I have to dodge... so I have to get penalized... and then I have to dodge again because I get stuck playing roles I don't want to play... How on earth Riot thought this was a good way to let people have fun in their game is beyond me. Being forced into roles you don't want is anti-fun to the Nth degree.
This new queue shouldn't have replaced Team Builder, it does not serve the same purpose, and does not in any way help makes this game fun or even remotely enjoyable. Team Builder guaranteed me my spot no matter what, stress-free, and in the time waiting for the queue to fill, I could just read up on strats and watch video guides. Now I have to basically just not play, play something I'm sick of, or play something I'm strictly bad at and get no MMR reduction to compensate for my shit noobness in every other lane, guaranteeing that I'm not only going to play poorly, but get thoroughly stomped. They're pushing too hard for this e-sports shit, it's destroyed any sense of casual fun I can have at all unless I'm willing to tank my MMR to bronze levels.
Like, I fucking work 50+ hours a week, League is no longer a game I can enjoy in my few days off. It feels more of a chore than my job does. I used to be able to think about and set up playing a game with whatever I wanted in Team Builder, and there was always a wonderful atmosphere and sense of casualness in the games with everyone I queued up with. Even though I'm only playing normals with Draft 2.0, it's got the exact same sense of try-harding that ranked does, it's completely unenjoyable to someone like me who just cannot be bothered to learn every in-out of 100+ champs. I'm not getting paid for that shit, my job doesn't even expect that much effort out of me, it's insane. I've been playing this game since Xin's release, Team Builder was the absolute best thing you guys have done to help me enjoy this game when it was implemented. Seeing it gone has just absolutely killed League for me, every game now feels dreadful to play as I feel like I have absolutely no control over how I want to play. It's like Riot is saying "Play what we tell you to, or else," and it's honestly rather oppressive.
tl;dr It feels like Riot broke up with me after our six year relationship because they care more about chasing big e-peeners.
