Easy roles to climb with

So for a while I think there's been a general understanding that support is the hardest role to carry with or hardest role to climb with. Maybe I've misinterpreted that but for the sake of this post I'll pretend that's true.

This account at first was an unranked to diamond account which I finished in I think like 80 games or something, forget the exact number. After that I kinda stopped trying to climb, and just focused on having fun. I played with friends who weren't all that good, and was more focused on having a good time rather than climbing. This past week though I wanted to reach master again so I started the climb back up. In about 5-7 days I've gone from d5 to d2 playing only support, mainly thresh. I feel as if the role is a lot easier to climb with than people usually think. Sure support is a "low impact role," but while playing mainly aggro supports I've found most of the people I lane against are very easily bullied. There are very few support mains and most are filled I assume, so maybe that is part of it.

Anyways I was just wondering if anybody had the same experience as me where due to support being so unpopular, it is actually the easiest role to climb with.
