A simple fix for ADC's, hoping to get some feed back.
How about we remove crit from the game, so that ADC's stop doing burst damage? The main purpose of the changes is to make ADS'c relevant against tanks and not be cancerous against squishier opponents. Following are the changes I suggest please consider it with an open mind.
- Change AS-crit items(zeal items) to AS with armor penetration or armor reduction. Math can be organised later on, on how much they should be given.
- Change Damage-Crit items (IE, ER etc) to Damage with % health damage
- Last whisperer be a major source of armor reduction and should be a must for ADC's to kill tanks. Right now ADC's don't even bother to build it, even against 2 or 3 tank comp teams.
- For champions with crit in built them just change it to armor penetration or armor reduction or % health damage. Tryndamere wont be RNG'ing you to death level 1 or 2 with this, he would still be able to split push with the changes, the only thing he won't do is crit kill a squishy in two hits, he still will be able to do consistent dps as he builds only dps. Extend his ult duration if he feels under-powered, change yasuo's ult dmg if he feels under-powered. @ or 3 champions should't be keeping a whole class hostage from being balanced.
- For champions with built in % health damage(varus, kogmaw etc), tune the numbers according to the item's, or vice versa, so that they won't be doing doing way more damage to the tanks then intended.
- Bork should be changed accordingly, tune the numbers afterwards if there is a problem.
What this will do is create some sense of strategy in draft phase, they have tanks should pick kog/varus to kill them faster as compared to usual ADC's. And atleast will fix the issue of ADC's bursting squishies way too fast while being useful against tanks. So with these changes melees are happy, ranged are happy, squishies are happy, tanks are just tanks and they have always been like that.
Suggestion on how you guys think this is a good or bad idea. Explain on how it won't work and what more changes should be made to make it work. A healthy discussion would be much appreciated. At-least that way I would learn something out of it.
Edit1: Mid-season changes are supposed to be big and bold. That's how to be big and bold.
Edit2: Feels sad man, the thread got down-voted, now it will rot. I don't care about up-votes, nor was this created to farm upvotes. I genuinely wanted to have a discussion about the problem, now not many people with different ideas will even see this thread to have a proper discussion. Sad the only one responding now will be the one's who already have posted comments here.
