Not sure what to do

Hey I was playing Jhin adc and I had a question. I was in a match vs cait Zyra bot and I actually somehow came out ok and even with us getting turret first with my blitzcrank. However I could never force my lead on the enemy team because their team consisted of 5/0 ahri, 5/0 eve, and irelia who wasn’t so hot top but could easily destroy me. I ended up winning the game playing super super passive and only stepping in after the fight broke out for a couple second (5 seconds). I doubt this is the right way to get it done but I really need help because games like these where I have no one I can auto safely is very hard to win I ended up just getting carried myself
