Vayne vs. Garen?

I was playing a game as Vayne today top lane against Garen, I know this is not where vayne normally goes, but that doesn't mean that I should automatically lose or that it can't be played. This was BY FAR the most frustrating lane I have ever played in. This was due entirely to the interactions between Garen's q and almost all of vayne's kit. Now I may just be confused but I know for a fact that garen's q is interruptable, as it is just an auto attack, so a tumble out of range from Garen should make it so that I don't get hit right? Not the case. Even in ult, an invisible q can be hit by a garen q auto attack. I just want to know more about these particular interactions because this was honestly the worst time I've had playing league, mainly because I felt like the game was just broken

no. its the same for regular auto attacks. if you dash or flash out of range mid animation, the auto attack will still connect at your new location.

im suprised that it connected despite invisibility, but otherwise you can only interrupt auto attacks with cc or by killing your enemy mid animation.

its basically the same as flashing while an adc projectile is already mid air coming at you. it will hit you at your new position.

also, if you lost lane against garen on vayne, you seriously misplayed nonstop. there isnt a harder counter.

I have smashed many adcs top as a juggernaut like garen , or a tank like maokai/naut

yes you are gonna poke me a bit... you get out of position 1 time you are dead

oh and i will rush item 3047 and usually item 3075 and watch as you kill yourself

Once auto-attacks reach a certain part in their animation, they will connect unless the attacker dies or the target becomes untargetable. I'm pretty sure losing sight of the target via stealth or the bush will also cause the auto-attack to fail, but I suppose I haven't tested that.
