Little change to Galio

I know Galio's rework is on the way and I can't wait for it. But, I think it would be cool to have his e slow down enemies that try to go against the wind direction. So then you can either speed up allies in one direction or the slow down enemies in the other direction.

I had a thought about how riot took a crap on the ability to move through minions (i.e. the change to I Edge), and I was like hey what if galio's E gave everyone on your team the ability to ignore unit collision along its path.....

Hmm. It would be like a mini GP ult (when GP rally upgrade.) I could see that working. I still wish they gave his abilities MR scaling ratios and gave him a new passive though. Kind of like how Ryze abilites scale with mana.

I really hope they don't change his passive. I think it's my most favorite passive in the entire game.

Or maybe it could apply a slight knockback? It would be pretty cool. Is there any confirmation that they're working on him?

Dont forget to stop udyr bearstand denying an ultimate with a long cooldown

Pretty damn situational then, only useful to help him slightly with escaping. But he already has his Q for that.

Wouldn't be opposed, but then you'd have someone with CC moves on all 3 of his damaging abilities. Which is pretty crazy when you think about it--only Nautilus has that distinction at the moment if I remember right.

I think there are far better buffs for Galio out there--that'd be something fun, but I wouldn't value it that much.

I like the idea, though his Q already has a slow. Also like the idea of removing unit collision, perhaps a possibility, though we may have to wait until Riot's figured out what they're doing with all the minion collision changes.

I feel like Galio's E would be a great place to add a dash/jump effect, making E a choice for a little extra mobility. That, or throw it on his Ult, which might be more fitting.

SpecterVonBaren12/8/2015, 6:22:55 PM1 votes

They could probably remove the slow on his Q in exchange for making his E the big slow/speed ability and then put some other kind of functionality to his Q.

Galio needs a new E. The rest of his kit functions perfectly fine and a I have zero complaints about the other skills, but the E is pretty much deadweight. There is no legitimate reason to put more than one point into it before maxing Q and W first given how integral those skills are to his lanephase. The projectile is a floppy mess that hurts your mana pool more than it does the enemy's health in lane. The movement speed steroid is hot garbage and makes literally zero difference at any point of the game.

If the E was swapped out with something that could actually allow Galio to more-reliably close gaps, or if it were replaced with a stronger nuke, or even something that gave him more utility--like a vision-providing/stealth-detecting ability--so he could better fit the support-role Riot had at some point tried to branch him toward would make him a much more-desirable pick.

Where did they say they're planning on rewoking Galio?

Galio who?

Meanwhile, let's buff Nidalee

I really think they should make his W heal his ally too or at least whoever is shielded. People would actually want him for support then, as well as a midlane anti mage tank. Oddly enough he's very balanced in spite of having so many options, if he had any mobility outside of flash and that spell e (not very good ms for him so much as for his allies) he would be perfect as a champion.
