I think I have a simple guide to carry yourself out of bronze

I've been looking everywhere for a comprehensive guide to finding your inner LCS player and carrying yourself out of bronze with any champ in any lane and the response is always "you just suck and deserve to be in your ELO" but I'm starting to think that isn't the case really. So just bare with me for a few lines.

Become a main ADC or APC. If you can get someone on your team to play a megatank like Poppy or Sion then you should be OK.

So i've been stuck in bronze/silver since I started playing this game. Whether it be my team and i are paired against someone better than us or just a bad misplay, i've had my share of losses. I always try to go a Tank top lane and coach my team into not chasing or trying to hard-trade for a kill so that when the laning phase is over, the other team isn't fed.

Doesn't work.

When somebody see's an opportunity they take it. Whether the enemy champ is 0/20 and worth nothing or 30/0 and can 1 shot your team with a combo, they will go after them. However; if you can main a hard carry or find a friend who can hard carry that you can megatank for then you might be able to carry yourself out. Now this isn't going to guarantee you a win everygame. You're still going to have games where there's super minions in your base and your entire team chases a full build megatank all the way to the other teams gank and you lose the game. It's just going to happen, but if you can find ways to prevent your games from getting to that point.

Another point I wanna bring up, pings. Spamming the "back away" pings on somebody will make them want to prove you wrong. Use the danger ping in the area the danger is coming from. They'll see it and be like "oh hell, they saw someone coming over here, I'd better hustle on outta here before I die miserably and blame the lack of MIA calls." I've been testing it and the back away ping tilts players while the danger ping scares them straight. I think it's the sound it makes or the fact that its piss-yellow. Spamming pings is also a bad idea in general, it is very frustrating when you get caught while split-pushing and people spam pings on you to get away, like you weren't already doing that, and then you just play worse because you're tilted. ping the area you want them to back away from, not the player you want to back away. I cannot stress this enough.

Dealing with tilted players is something everybody struggles with. It can start at ANY POINT. You could be teamed with a guy saying "don't worry guys we can still win this" the entire game until the very end when he goes "/all report my trash team for being trash and feeding, these guys are the reason i'm still in bronze." You could also be in the lobby and they want to play yasuo, the number 1 ban pick in bronze, and when he gets banned they just go "well I guess i'm just gonna feed" and pick tahm kench, eating their ally champs and spitting them into enemy turrets. To the guys who outright say they're going to feed when their champ gets banned just go "lol, really? But that champ is garbage. He was probably banned so their feeder teammate won't pick him and fail the game" or something along those lines. When you dethrone their favorite pick it questions the reality of the choice they are about to make. It gives their options some new light. It's worked for me 3/5 times. When players don't get the lane they want or are autofilled into support and say they'll feed if they don't get their lane or w/e. Just offer them a chance to play w/e champ they want in the support lane. If they want to jungle rengar but your jungler wants to jungle, then say "hey, why don't you Rengar bot with me and we can do a kill lane? Then after they're dead we can go ahead of roam a bit. it'll be like jungling but we have to protect a turret" It's surprisingly effective when somebody only knows how to play one champ for one role and you let them do that in the bot lane with you. For the people who flame during the game because you died, or they died you can untilt them by a bit of co-op. Roaming and getting them a kill is a great way to shock a player back into working order. Not always, but it doesn't hurt. This is a team game and you need a good relationship with your teammates. Help them get kills, save them from ganks, apologize when they die while you were there. Build a good working synergy instead of trying SOLELY to win YOUR lane.

Dealing with your own tilt is your own issues you need to work through but don't flame your team. Disregarding the potential ban you are talking to actual people who are trying to get out of bronze just like you. If they mess up a play just give them advice on what to do next time. If their build is.. Not optimal give them advice on what works with their champ vs the enemy team. I know riot likes to spit down our throats about "99% of players who don't act like ass-hats in chat win their games! HOHO!" but it actually kind of works. When you encourage your team they want to listen to you more. They want you to lead them when they fall behind. Manage your tilt the same way customer service reps manage not murdering every customer they come into contact with. If you lose and feel like ranging in the end-game lobby then go ahead. There's no shame in venting after the game is already over.

The last step is just to pray you git gud enough to win your lane. Immediately after getting the kill if you have the health and the mana go gank another lane if you can. If you can burn some summs, good, if you get a kill, great, but most importantly it builds synergy with your teammates. I know everybody wants to push that turret at level 5 and take out 1 block of damage but it'll be better for everybody if you secure another kill in a different lane. I've lost games because the entirety of the enemy team roamed after each time they got a kill or made my team recall and i was in awe. I just never thought about it before and sure enough I forget about it in-game.

I hope I wasn't spouting gibberish, this is just what i've experienced. If you at all follow these little guidelines and find yourself winning more often leave me a comment. If nothing changes or you physically cannot play a carry then find somebody to duo with. Ask after the game if one of your teammates can main ADC/APC and wants to duo sometime. I wish you guys some luck, unless I'm playing against you.

Side note - practice in normals / don't play a champ you don't know how to play just to counterpick. Play the champ you're comfortable with and you'll be fine. I've beaten so many people in lane despite being countered because I know my champ better.

Last season when someone told me anything or pinged i would do the opposite. Got some nice plays out of it, because people in bronze or silver with over 1000 games don't know how to win.

"Dealing with your own tilt is your own issues you need to work through but don't flame your team. "

Thats honestly it, you just need a good mindset and play well yourself. You gotta be a little bit laid back, because someone who pours out all their effort every match won't be able to help but flame his team lol

Good post, I agree with with all of it
