Suggestion For Riot, After 4 Years of Playing League Solo Ranked

Overall, I really love this game. I like the champion variety, ability variety, the strategy, the game play, every aspect of it, except one thing:

The solo ranked system.

To me its an utter disaster and is becoming more frustrating. The thing I find the most frustrating, is every single year you factor our prior season into our next season's placement.

You also factor our normal MMR when we initially are matchmaking for ranked games. I get why you do this, in an attempt to get us all into an equally skilled match.

I think you ought to just put us all in the same cage and let us "crappy" players get stomped by higher skill players every year, just so we can learn how to play better.

If we never get the chance to go against these players, how can we ever learn some of their "moves" so to speak? What if these higher skilled players land on our team? Isn't their something they can do to offer us advice or guidance?

I get we can watch video of it, but some of us are hands on. Maybe we can get carried up by some of these "higher" skilled players.

Why are all the incentives on the top? I get they worked hard for it, one season, and then they just have to maintain. We on the other hand want that chance to climb and maintain, but its hard being down on the bottom. They are cushioned from falling too far, we are cushioned from gaining ground...

Just put everyone together and every year everyone starts at ground zero. Stop cushioning people from advancing or falling. Let em fight every single year.

What makes you think a low-skill player will actually understand why/how a high-skill player is beating them?

Back in the day, I sure as hell didn't.

Find it a little disturbing riot hasn't answered this post. Guess my hundreds of dollars have already been spent and I am a dead customer to them.

Again, its been two days, not one response. I went into a game today and finally, had the straw that broke the camels back. The failure to actually listen to your players is unacceptable. Folks that have spent hundreds of dollars on this game, and you ignore them, is insulting.

I have uninstalled and will be working to actively campaign against riot games for 3 reasons:

  1. Disproportionate and flawed solo ranked system.
  2. Poor community behavior enforcement, the league's online community is absolutely toxic.
  3. Poor customer service.

Yes. I also think if they refuse to do this, which they will, then we should be able to buy a ranked reset once per season. They won't do this because they know that the elo system is a complete and utter fabrication.

maybe i can reply to this post since i use to be a season 2 gold player almost to diamond but i will try to respond to this the best i can. what you are asking basic is to learn new skills. us in the higher up rank had to be more focused. one of the things LoL is bad for is toxic players but like minded people like us we have bad games every once in awhile and players that get toxic over the fact of making mistakes and getting excuse my language "btched " at by players who either suck at their role, or the type of players that rage over a game like call of duty kids getting rekt hard from vet players. how we become good is from basic trial and error. we learn new builds from others , play style from others , and new ways to improve on. It takes a lot of time and effort in the game to get better than what you first had been. honestly the best tip i can give you for this is bring your friends to rank games the higher chances are you will win your games more often than being with randoms. If possible you lose your matches don't trip over about it your friends understand your burden but what makes this game fun is the teamwork and skills you learn to improve with others since you are with your friends. another i can give you is do research on builds whats current this season most likely you will improve for each season i don't know how many times i hear the word meta a lot but its true meta builds work but the thing is put your spin on the meta builds if you are like me i mix up my build enough to stay meta but improve on builds. i mean these aren't the best tips but its a start to climb up to rank. teamwork is key tho i would suggest teamspeak for shot calling a lot or skype but highly suggest teamspeak because skype uses 50% more bandwidth than your LoL client and teamspeak is more compatible with windows 10 and lower. hope this helps.
