Honestly, Items are the source of many of the problems right now and a while back.

I remember when Yasuo was super good at building Tank due to items. People now hate him because he builds PD.

Lethality was really bad making them buff champs to compensate. Then with the buff to lethality, champs that were balanced around the previous lethality are getting powerful now.

I feel like items are a massive sources of frustration right now and are causing a lot of balance issues.

What if we had a massive item revamp? This wouldn't replace a class update or anything, and I like how the items that classes build are updated during class updates, but something has to happen.

Personally, we need more of a choice in items. There are few champs that have a really flexible buildpath (Jax, Jhin etc), and some are better than other paths, so they are used more. Because every champ of a class builds the same items, it can be hard to show strategy in your buildpath the way that you should be able to.

One thing I'm going to use as an example is crit items. There are only 6 items that give cirt and only a 3rd of those have AD on them. With many crit items being only available or viable for ADC's. I'm not saying "make 100% crit viable for melee champs", but I want more choices on Yasuo than item 3087 glass cannon or item 3046 BUSTED DEFENSE ITEM OMG.

I'm not here to argue about the balance of each item, but the fact that there is no diversity within a class. I want to separate assassin lethality from ADC lethality. I want to separate ADC crit from Melee crit. I want to have more of diversity in items in general.

I understand the risks of doing this as it can lead to more incidences like Tankko and Tanksuo. It can also make the game less welcome to new or returning players. But this is something that needs to happen in some form or another.
