For all the people that are actually skilled at their champion, Mastery 8

I believe that a good addition to the game would be Mastery 8. Similar to 6 and 7 in that you got to get a type of S to get it. Except, far harder. It takes 2 S-'s to get mastery 6, 3 S ranks to get mastery 7, but why not 4 or 5 S+'s to get mastery 8. This would prove that that pesky Yasuo in your bronze solo queue game is actually good. Most Mastery 7 bronze yasuos are infamous for feeding. However, if you see Mastery 8, which normally if you see 7 you might say "we lost", you will now think "Hey! We might win! This Yasuo is pretty good!" Just an idea for Riot and the League of Legends community to consider.

I think they should add up to Mastery 10, spicing up each requirement! Like for Mastery 8 you need 200K mastery points on that champ. Mastery 9, 5 S's, then Mastery 10 you need 4 S+s

Doesn't mean anything. S+ are increasingly harder to get the higher elo you play at, might as well feed several games to get low mmr and then carry to get your S+. Too abusable and for nothing much, also doesn't prove shit.

That's not true since it doesn't take kills heavily into account. It's mostly your cs, which spawns at the same time no matter your elo.

Well this is what my idea was; https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/YiRJENO5-earn-new-rewards-when-reaching-mastery-levels-8-9-and-10 somewhat similar to yours, but mine goes all the way to Mastery 10. I like your idea, but mine is centered around winning new rewards when reaching Level 9 and 10.

Let me know what you think of my idea. :)

Or have different classes have different challenges

penta would be stupid... there are lots of champ that frankly dont get penta... most supports for instance

Or have different classes have different challenges

for different champsions.. yes... but check pbe the new "missions" are kinda like this.. (think blizzard achievements)

Hence why supports would get a different challenge. And it wouldn't be different champions, it would be class. Fighters could have to get a penta, supports could be get a 75% kill participation, assassin's could be get 20 kills in one game....stuff like that

Maybe winning many ranked games with them could be good? But it would ostracize casual players.

Let me put it to you this way:

If your Yasuo was really good, you wouldn't be in bronze.

bronze means your yasuo sucks. your mastery means, you play him a lot.

the mastery system is bullshit. there I said it. who cares about it. It has nothing to do with how skilled you actually are with the champ or with the game. It just means you played him enough to get lucky a few times without your teammates hijaking you.
