Hextech Crafting and Mastery 6/7

Hextech Crafting and Mastery 6/7 should not have been linked they are completely unrelated and contradictory in nature.

Mastery 6/7 should have had set mastery point achievement level at which point u move from 5 to 6 to 7 like 1-5. If a person was already over the point total when 6/7 was released they should just bump straight up.

Crafting is geared toward playing with premades, and playing different champions, because those are the only 2 situations where you qualify to earn crap (beyond the tiny limit that immediately shuts you down if your using the same champ). Neither of those factors relates to your mastery of a given single champion.

If you play by yourself with one champion you will have to rely on purchasing your way to 6/7 with mystery shards for RP/IP. Which shows ur Wallet Mastery I guess.

Where inviting people so that they can earn you crap which shows your_** Social Mastery_; and Playing other champs constantly due to the limits per champ on chests; which shows your _Mastery of not playing the champion you are upranking the mastery of**_ Which seems to be the stupidest of the 3.

I understand tying Materies 6/7 to S. It shows that getting those Mastery levels isn't tied to just having a shit ton of games on the champion, but rather to actual mastery. And the Essence requirement makes more sense with Random Champion Shards, since as you're grinding out games with your main you're earning IP, which must be directly used to get the Mastery (instead of buying other champions like a heretic, I guess). The usage of the shards themselves, opposed to the essence they provide, makes much less sense to me and probably shouldn't be a part of this, especially with random shards out.
