No wonder the game is so infested with XP-Bots, early game for players is absolutely miserable

You just get fucked at every turn, none of these options are fun or healthy:

  • Limited by poorly put together "Presets" that makes the game unnecessarily more difficult for anyone not running "The Executioner" page because it's the only one offering a stable source of sustain.

  • Enslaved to Blind-Pick matchmaking because Riot feels it's fair to put level 3s fresh out of the tutorial with nothing but summoner 7 summoner 6 up against level 10s or higher with summoner 14 summoner 4 back to back to back.

  • Forced to suffer through unrewarding Coop Vs Ai matches that which 9/10 times will have an XP-bot on your side that doesn't even buy items and just runs it down a lane the entire match making the game drag out for no reason.

  • Forced to suffer through the abysmal XP-bot infested ARAM mode where every single match is a coin-flip that relies solely on who has more summoner 3 summoner 39 bots that never do anything but run into 5 people and never use their abilities.

It's no wonder that so many people just buy level 30 accounts, why would anyone want to put themselves through such a miserable grind that doesn't even give you anything worth the frustration and cancer? And before any braindead sheep come by with their BS:

"Oh but that's YOUR opinion, no new players ever say anything!"

Yeah no shit nobody says anything dumbass, you're only allowed to make posts on the forums after level 7 and just a news flash if you login at any point before level 7 your level freezes and logging out doesn't do anything to help which forces you to go on a goosechase trying to find out how to update it until you finally find a link telling you that you have to go to the discord and wait an hour >if you're lucky< for one of Riot's shit moderators to get around to responding to you asking for help. Not to mention how many fucking new players even think about looking up the forums? I guarantee that if Riot did surveys for low-level players and actually made it easier for them to speak up the boards would be flooded with fresh issues about how horribly miserable the experience is.

To be honest I laugh my ass off as a new account trying ARAM, people actually flame bots as if they were players

The experience is still 1000x better than when I did it back in season 1.

In season 1, you HAD to:

Play bots until you understood the game well enough to be on-par with Platinum-level (the highest rank at the time) smurfs OR were level 30 and could be properly matched up against new level 30's, or else you'd legitimately be reported and banned because you didn't know what you were doing yet (only time I've ever had a negative account standing was when I decided to play 1 single PvP game when I was still new and I was the only person there who was a new player. I got reported and got a 2-week ban just for not knowing what I was doing because my team and the people on the Tribunal thought I was trolling)

Play without stat boosts from runes ENTIRELY. Masteries were still a thing and were unlocked as you leveled up, 1 point per level until 30, which meant that until you could unlock the strongest Mastery in a single line, you were basically useless. You also had to buy Runes with IP, so you didn't have any stats above base until after you unlocked every champion and could start focusing your experience on runes

Buy rune pages for either 6300 IP or 975 RP apiece, enough to buy the newest champion that released every 2 weeks

Buy EVERY individual champion; the game never gave you freebees

Know what runes were the best, which you would have to just figure out because there weren't any guides back then and even the pros were bad compared to today's average plat player

Play basically constantly to catch up to the champion release schedule every 2 weeks

You may be surprised, but the free champions, more streamlined rune system, and Blue Essence system are all massive improvements to the new player experience. Yes, you're still plagued with leveling bots and bad summoner's spell/rune selections, as well as smurfs in PvPs, and those are problems that aren't going away. I think they fixed as many problems as they can without a massive overhaul to the report system to get rid of all the bots, but overall the game is much better for new players than it was back in the day.
