Cassiopeia and her upcoming rework

Yes, I too am a Cassiopeia fan. I think one way we can change her is her passive. I felt like some of the problems that not a lot of people mentioned is the fact that she's so AP hungry now that her passive scales with how much AP she has (a percentage bonus AP). This can create some problems. Especially, now that Cassiopeia is all abou' da E. Bou da E Bout da E.... Anyways, now that she's much more riskier than before since she can't spam poison all day, and has to get into the enemies faces to do anything. Focusing on pure AP is the worse thing to do in these situations. The great thing about her back then was that she was flexible enough to go semi-tanky to survive some burst, but still have decent AP to DPS someone down and comfortably switch from "poison mode" to "Twin Fang mode". Now, she's all about' da AP, which means that she no longer has the flexibility of item customizing. This can be a huge problem. Cassiopeia's play-style depends on her itemization (More than like any other champion). If she can't go semi-tanky like she did before, unless she wants to put her bonus % AP to waste, that means she will barely be able to E all day without getting blasted in the face for getting too close ranged. Especially when the rework was supposed to encourage her agressive Twin Fang spam. It almost feels like a DPS veigar.... Way too squishy. Something that I think can really give back some of the Cassiopeia item flexibility is to change the bonus AP% -> Each time Cassiopeia damages an enemy with her spells, her spells will deal % of Maximum Health per DPS/DOT in magic damage. Movement impairing abilities will double the damage dealt. (Slows applied by items will not proc this) Single target abilities will deal true damage instead of magic damage % of health. Perhaps something like: 0.25% of Max. Health/0.5% Max Health/0.75% Max Health. Thus, her Q will deal 0.75% Max. health because 0.25% max health each time the poison damaged the enemy. This will not only result in Cassiopeia being all abou' da E. But also it's all abou' da poison and E. This will make Cassiopeia a massive spell hurler, and much more item-flexible. This will make Cassiopeia a good poker, but not extremely good. A lane bully in a sense, but not extreme bully. This will encourage both the poison and Twin Fang side of Cassiopeia. This will make Cassiopeia great at eroding away enemies eventually but not bursty. This way, she's all about the DPS AND the DoT that Riot is trying to accomplish. Also, as for the mana problem, why not make it so that Twin Fang's mana cost significantly reduces when she casts it upon the same target? Make it like 10% less mana cost each time casted upon the same target, and when it reaches a certain point, it will recover 3% of total mana along with the reduced mana cost, BUT NO MANA REFUND. Almost anything is preferable over what we have right now.

And any change to bring more relevance to her Poison without requiring the use of her over-bloated E is certainly welcome.

This would be a valid argument, but we need need to make something clear: in now way does the passive force you to be squishy. I wonder, was was your "semi-tanky" build before rework? RoA Rylai's? Just Rylais? Personally i was going just rylai's, and guess what, it's still what you should do. No one's shoving a deathcap in your face. You should see the passive as a bonus, not a game changer.

Lately i've been going Athenes Sorcs Rylai's as core, maxing e first and playing quite agressive even in lane, and it's been working like a charm.
