I don't think there's anything wrong with his kit, he's just very seldomly played because he's a very niche pick. His play style is incredibly awkward for most beginners but he is perfectly capable of climbing the ranks for those who master him.

I remember being so excited for Aurelion Sol until I saw his kit.

Absolutely hated the fact that his main damage source was stars floating around him. When I first saw an in-game pic of him, i thought the stars may have been activated by a certain amount of spell hits for a duration. When I found out they were permanent, I was disappointed.

That being said, he has a dedicated player base who love him and do well with him. Wouldn't be fair to rework him just to increase his play rate. That's what Riot did to Karma, and she really has become a dumpster fire of a champ.

Hey, how about fuck off, if you don't play that champ. As player of 1% pickrate champ, the last thing I want is Riot touching my champ.

Ryze was/is broken, that's reason to rework, Asol is hard, that's not.

Aurelion's appearance and lore are what got me interested in League. Aurelion's mind-numbingly boring gameplay is what destroyed my interest in playing League. Now I just do the odd Aram and occasionally scour the boards for rework news, but I'm not invested in the game at all. The only way I'll start playing regularly again is if they rework Aurelion so he plays like an actual cosmic dragon and not a lethargic hula-hoop dancer.

Because Ryze was problematic and aurelion really isn't. The Ryze rework that was currently changed had the problem that it was really op in pro play and underpowered in normal play and if played optimally, also terrible to play against. Aurelion is fine according to the players that play him and not problematic overall.

They even explained why ryze was reworked in set patch notes: https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/patch/patch-912-notes

I really wish he got some love. Some buffs, or maybe a rework to his E.

Why do people even want reworks. If you enjoy him, then play as him, if you don't, avoid him like fire. No point in reworking champions, other than to piss people off.

he's not a problem just boring af.

My problem with everyone who said "there's tons of champs, if you don't like him then don't play him" is, A. That's a waste of money and resources as I said before, and B. Why have so many champs if 1/4th of them are like Soll? He's shovelware of a champ, another tally to increase their library of overall champs.

But I like Mr. Space Dragon just the way he is. I mean, his gameplay doesn’t really capitalize on his theme, but I love both his play style and visuals independently of each other.
