Honor System dysfunctional?

I've been pretty happy with the honor system up until today. I just found out my girlfriend got honor level 3 before me, Where as I'm Level 2 with 1/3 of the Checkpoints. I'm disgusted. My girlfriend get's easily tilted at LoL, She goes afk if the team Is losing, and we'll just say she likes to flame, quite a bit actually. I Try my best to remain calm and play throughout the entire game till the end even if we are losing, I'll be honest, I do burst into rage sometimes at the game, especially when playing rankeds, but it's occasional, however I NEVER go afk, nor have I received any bans.

This is the thing though, last night my girlfriend left a ranked game, she got 5x 20 minute wait bans, and we went onto her account so she would show me because I didn't really believe her at first, and when we log In onto her account, I'm surprised to see that she is congratulated with honor level 3.

I think this is just ridiculous, I have played 3x more games than her since she has been busy with schoolwork and I'm kind of a quiet person unless I'm playing with friends, So I don't talk too much in chat unless it's related to the game (e.g asking for help or ganks), Also She has received a numerous amount of the 20 minute bans, while I haven't received a single ban yet. I Try so hard to get my honor level so much higher because I really want to receive better rewards from my loot capsules. But it looks broken, just like everything else riot has released.. cough cough clash cough

has anyone else realized this issue? Cause I haven't passed a single checkpoint yet while putting so much effort, and I'm getting tilted.
